1. Putrajaya Botanical Garden (Best Park in Putrajaya)
Putrajaya Botanical Garden or Taman Botani Putrajaya is a must-visit public outdoor park and our family’s favourite public park to visit in Putrajaya.
You can explore and enjoy the nice views of Putrajaya Lake including the Prime Minister’s office complex building at the end. You can find more than 750 species of plants in the park, some plants here are for research and conservation purposes.
Some main attractions in Putrajaya Botanical Garden that we love are:
- Moroccan Pavilion
- Hibiscus Walk
- Canopy bridge
- Lake Boardwalk
- Bougainvillea Tunnel
- Orchid Path
- Fern Garden
Other facilities available at additional charge:
- Trampoline for kids to jump in (RM2)

2. Taman Wawasan Putrajaya
Taman Wawasan Putrajaya is an agriculture heritage park located next to a lake where you can enjoy a relaxing ambience. There’s a pond with many colourful water lotus plants in it. There is an Aqua Plaza, mini water fountain, and pebble beach to explore here.
For those who love exercising, there’s a jogging path where you can enjoy nice views. This park is great for cyclists who enjoy an uphill adventure on the

3. Taman Warisan Pertanian Putrajaya (Best Local Orchard Park)
Taman Warisan Pertanian is a local plantation and orchard park to view tropical fruit trees, herbs and spices gardens, rubber tree plantation, and many other commercial crops. The tropical fruits trees that are grown here include mangosteen, pomelo, cempedak, dragon fruit, durian, and guava plant.
We love this park because we get to educate our son on the different variety of tropical fruit trees available and explore the mini rice paddy field and freshwater fish farm here.
Monthly, the Putrajaya Agro Warisan (similar to Pasar Tani) is open on the last Saturday and Sunday with local fruits and vegetable produce available for sale.

4. Anjung Floria (Best Park in Putrajaya With An Artificial Beach)
Anjung Floria’s main highlight is their annual festival, which is the Royal Floria Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival which is usually held in mid-May or June.
On other normal days, the main attractions in Anjung Floria are:
- The China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, which uses Chinese architecture to design the place (great for wedding photoshoot)
- Pantai Floria – Artificial beach
- Taman Dulu-dulu
- Cycling paths for cyclists
We enjoyed a late afternoon walk around the area with lovely views of the lake and bridges.

5. Putrajaya Wetlands Park (First Man-made Freshwater Wetland in Malaysia)
Putrajaya Wetlands Park is a great place to bring your family to connect to Mother nature and witness flocks of flamingos, painted storks, black swans and other birds.
There is lots of useful information at the Nature Interpretation Centre including on flood mitigation, water filtration, how the wetlands work and the variety of flora and fauna found in the park.
The Arboretum Zone of the park has many walking and hilly hiking trails for those that are more adventurous.

6. Rimba Alam Park
This is a great park in Putrajaya to connect with Mother nature. There are 3 main sections: Cengal Forest, Meranti Merah Forest, and Local Natural Fruit Forests. Surrounded by over 400 species of thick forest trees, it is a good place to jog and for bird watching.
We enjoyed the forest trail with our toddler son and saw many flora and fauna. There are some easy and short nature trails that are suitable to bring your children along with you.

7. Taman Saujana Hijau Putrajaya (Park in Putrajaya With a European Vibe)
This park is located on top of a small hill, and has a great view of its surroundings. There are many pine and cyprus trees which exude a European highland feel and are great for pictures.
One of our family’s favourites was the rows of beautiful and bright sunflowers beside the other vibrant flowers.
For those who love exercising, walk or jog along the 2.8km trail. Or opt to pack along a picnic basket to enjoy a picnic with your friends and family in one of the many open lawns at this scenic park.

8. Putrajaya Equestrian Park (Best Park in Putrajaya For Horse Lovers)
Putrajaya Equestrian Park is a one stop equestrian hub in Putrajaya for horse riding lessons, joy rides, stable tours and more. Ask the staff about polo games and show jumping and dressage competitions on certain days.
My son enjoyed himself here on the joy ride where he rode a horse for the first time, brushing and feeding the horses, and had a tour of the stables.

9. Taman Putra Perdana, Putrajaya
Explore Laman Monolith, see the large botanical garden trees and bring your kids to the children’s playground here.
You will find the Mercu Tanda Plaza in the middle of the park. It is 78 metres tall and in the shape of a pyramid. At the front of this monument, there is a time capsule which provides information on the history and development of Putrajaya.
Visit when the sun goes down to enjoy the lighted up water fountains which gives a different view if you visit during the day.

10. Lake Recreation Centre, Putrajaya
Part of the Putrajaya city’s flood mitigation system, the Lake Recreation Centre is a place where you can relax with your family and go for a jog, cycle or ride an ATV.
Water enthusiasts can explore stand up paddling, going on the family paddle boat, fishing, flat rafting, and kayaking. Don’t forget to bring your kids to play and have fun at the giant inflatable playground section.

11. Seri Empangan Park
Taman Seri Empangan is located beside the Seri Empangan Bridge and close to the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). We enjoyed the scenery while cycling around with sounds of the water dam in the background. Our son enjoyed his time at the small children’s playground. The night views at the park, especially of the bridge, are beautiful.

12. Central Park at IOI Resort City, Putrajaya (Best New Public Park in Putrajaya)
The newly opened Central Park is just a short walking distance from IOI Resort City.
It is catered to families and nature lovers to foster a more active lifestyle. If you enjoy sports, there is a jungle track, skate and bike park, and basketball, futsal and badminton courts to explore.
Dog and cat lovers can bring their fur-kids to the pet obstacle course.
There is a large children’s playground with 3 long giant slides for kids to enjoy. We managed to see some ducks and geese, and dragonflies flying around near the small lake.

13. Putrajaya Challenge Park
Putrajaya Challenge Park is an extreme challenge park for those with an adventurous soul and challenge seekers. There is an indoor rock wall climbing complex with walls up to 20 metres in height and a climbing section for children below 10 years old.
Check out the skate park and thrill park too which are great for skateboarding, and mountain bike trails for bikers of different skill levels.
