About – Parent On The Job
Hi there, I’m Sue and I became a first time mom when my son – Little E was born in 2021.
Parent On The Job is about all things parenting from useful information, tips, hacks and my shared experiences and learnings of being a mom.
As with training on the job in a career environment, being a mother and parent is a full time job that takes up most of my time but is simultaneously rewarding and fulfilling as I get to watch my son grow up.
I am a stay at home mom who also concurrently works from home, running my own online business. As my son grows, I am learning the ways of being the best parent I can be alongside my husband as we care for our little one.
As a first time parent, I had many questions about being pregnant, baby delivery, postpartum, and of course, parenting. I also had my fair share of concerns and worries on how I would go about my life and new role as a parent, being responsible to care for a little human being.
Hence, being the analytical and detail-oriented person that I am, I talked and discussed with family and friends (yes, it does take a village to raise a child!), read numerous parenting books, and watched many parenting training videos online to learn about parenting. This includes information about how to bathe, feed, dress up, sleep train, and entertain my baby.
Being an Asian and minimalist, I always do thorough research (sometimes to the point of analysis paralysis even!) by reading reviews on the Internet and touching and feeling the item at the shop before buying any baby products as I am on the lookout for useful baby items that are safe, of good quality and value for money before bringing them into my home.
Join me as I discover ways to save money, time and energy as well as share ideas for your family to make parenting more enjoyable and happy for you and your children.
My blog covers the following topics:
- Baby gear and products
- Pregnancy
- Fun activities to do with your baby, toddler and kids
- Parenting tips and hacks
- Self-care for moms
- Useful information for and about moms and dad
My hope is that my blog can inspire and help fellow mommas and moms-to-be who are in this season of their life as you navigate parenthood (which can seem to be a long journey with many ups and downs especially during the first few months of your baby’s life).
Do hang in there and know that you are not alone in this journey. For me, nothing is more rewarding than when I get a big hug and see the smile on my son’s face after a long and tiring day.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enjoy reading the information available here.
