1. Bukit Jelutong Eco Community Park (Best Park in Bukit Jelutong With Farm Animals)
We visited Bukit Jelutong Eco Community Park mainly because we wanted to bring little E to check out the mini zoo with a FREE entrance.
We were able to interact with these animals freely. The mini zoo has some (very friendly and hungry) goats, ducks, peacocks, swans, chickens, geese, fishes and more. Visitors get to interact and pet the animals while relaxing in huts around the small lake. Also animal feed is available for sale from RM5.

2. Shah Alam Lake Garden
Being the first public park opened in Selangor, Shah Alam Lake Garden is suitable for the entire family including kids and the elderly to enjoy. Besides the usual cycling, kids playgrounds and exploring the jogging trails, you get to enjoy some water sports including paddle boating and kayaking in the interconnected lakes.
There are also children playgrounds for kids to play at.

Nearest LRT/MRT/KTM: Take the KTM Komuter train from Kuala Lumpur to Shah Alam station and take a taxi from there to Taman Tasik Shah Alam.

3. Central Park at Gamuda Gardens Park (Best Park in Rawang)
The Central Park at Gamuda Gardens Park is a pet-friendly park, you can bring along your dogs (on leash). Dogs can explore and mingle with other furry friends at Paws Playland. You can check out the pet-friendly cafe called Lyfe Cafe here.
Little E is quite fond of dogs, hence we had a good time exploring the park with a manmade lake-waterfall inside. One loop around the park is about 3 km.

4. Elmina Central Park in Shah Alam (Best Instagrammable Park in Shah Alam)
The Elmina Iconic Bridge & Red Lookout Point is one of their main attractions at Elmina Central Park especially for instagrammers for photo taking. The bridge’s bright red exterior caught our eye and we took some family photos here with this background. Another great spot for photography is at the Rainbow Bridge.
The other facilities here include an open basketball court and mini outdoor gym.

5. Setia Ecohill Park (Best Park in Semenyih)
With an excellent view across the township at the top of the hill, Setia Ecohill is a great place for a morning walk or evening jog with your family. Our family managed to catch the sunset during our last visit here. It is definitely a perfect place to view the beautiful sunset.
A loop around The ParC at Setia EcoHill is about 800m, great for brisk walking, jogging or cycling. Don’t miss out to spot the different wildlife including birds and squirrels here. There is a playground for children and an area with exercising equipment for adults.

6. Taman Wawasan Recreational Park (Best Park in Puchong)
With 3.1 mile trails for jogging and cycling, you can definitely work out a sweat here at Taman Wawasan Recreational Park. Other park facilities include a basketball court, exercise facilities, Woodball place, and a large and well-maintained children’s playground.
You can find a pond at the back of the park. We saw the pond filled with many blooming lotus, which was a lovely sight.

7. Subang Ria Recreational Park (Best Community Recreation Park in Subang Jaya)
Just near SJMC, Subang Ria Recreational Park is a place suitable for family outings. It consists of a 1.3km loop trail around the lake which is suitable for running and walking. It is an easy route where most adults and children can complete with ease.
We visit PARC, the community building area, almost weekly for a cup of coffee with a lake view while kids get to play, be it cycling, ride on a scooter, rollerblade or run around.

8. Taman Bandaran Kelana Jaya
Being the largest park in Petaling Jaya, Taman Bandaran Kelana Jaya has jogging tracks for joggers and brisk walkers to explore. There are a total of 7 lakes which are surrounded by the jogging tracks where you can enjoy the view as you jog.
There are various amenities including an area with outdoor gym equipment near the entrance. You can also go fishing here during Public Holidays and the weekends but first you will have to get a fishing permit from MBPJ’s office besides the park.

9. Central Park, One Utama (Best Park in Bandar Utama)
Just beside 1 Utama shopping mall (new wing), you can easily walk to the park after shopping at the mall. A good place for jogging while you admire the greenery or just relax in the many gazebos with roofs and benches.
The park is pet-friendly and is a great place for pet owners and dogs to socialise. There is a special gated off leash field for dogs. There is a small lake in the park with fishes and turtles.

10. Cyberjaya Lake Gardens (Best Park in Cyberjaya)
This is a beautiful and scenic lakeside park in Cyberjaya. For those who are looking to jog or stroll, the path at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya is about 1.3km.
We went for a morning stroll around the lake, and climbed the lookout tower to enjoy an overview of the lake gardens. Plenty of water lilies and lotus flowers which adds to the beauty of the lake.
There is a large playground area for kids to explore and picnic areas in this park for families to unwind.

11. Ara Damansara Park (Best Outdoor Park in Ara Damansara)
A quiet park with well-maintained landscape in the middle of Ara Damansara nearby Lembah Subang LRT station. There are jogging tracks and outdoor exercise stations for those looking for a quick sweat session. Check out their badminton courts and basketball court for ball games.
There is a well-designed children’s playground and a lake full of fish and some turtles in it.

12. Taman Jaya Park
A lake park for those living in PJ to visit, nearby Amcorp Mall and Taman Jaya LRT Station to jog, go inline skating, roller skate and fishing in the manmade lake. Join community activities such as aerobics or line dancing. Two children’s playgrounds are available.
We visited the park in the evening, as the night gets dark, the view is better when the lights are lit up.

13. Templer Eco Forest Park
A place where you can enjoy the beauty of mother nature. With multi-tiered waterfalls, jungle streams and trails, the Templer Eco Forest Park is suitable for those who love hiking or just looking to have a picnic by the waterfall and enjoy some family time.
While hiking, you can spot different kinds of flora and fauna including monkeys and birds. There are various trails suitable for beginners and intermediate levels.

14. Dragonfly Park, Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam (Best Park in Puncak Alam)
A beautiful and elegant park with many Western architecture elements. Check out the white bridge which adds a touch of elegance to the park.
This park is also a popular spot for couples to take their wedding photos. Jogging in this spacious park is quite enjoyable. There’s also a lake with fishes swimming in it and many dragonflies flying around. There are also futsal courts and basketball courts.

15. National Botanic Gardens Shah Alam
Enjoy the natural beauty of National Botanic Gardens Shah Alam by renting a bicycle or stroll along the path. You can even jog around the lake and enjoy the scenery of the park. Find a fountain of water gushing up at the lake.
There are plenty of activities to do at the park for the whole family including hiking, cycling, flying fox and kayaking. There is also a mini zoo (with separate entrance fee) where you can get up close to the animals, pet and feed them.

16. Cyberjaya Mini Park
Next to Dpulze shopping mall, Cyberjaya Mini Park is a great place for those looking for a short jog or walk. Also known as Taman Mini Cyberjaya, the place is a nice place to enjoy a short stroll with your loved ones in the mornings or evenings.
The playground is quite huge and well-maintained but can be a bit challenging hence, it is more suitable for older kids.

17. Bandar Botanic Garden, Klang
A huge park in Klang where you can leisurely stroll around, jog or walk your dog. There are different gardens around the lake where you can enjoy the view.
There are plenty of huge trees for shade and greenery around. Children can have fun at the children’s playground and run around in the park.

18. Kuala Selangor Nature Park
Also known as Taman Alam Kuala Selangor, this is a great park for visitors looking to connect to nature as it is home to a wide range of flora and fauna. Kuala Selangor Nature Park is divided into 2 main areas which are the Tropical Rainforest and Swamp Forest. You get to see various wildlife and birds.
We spotted some otters, milky storks and long-tailed macaques. It was an educational visit for Little E as he managed to see many species of animals and birds. Do bring along a pair of binoculars if you happen to have one.
